The food here is good. I had no complaints about any of the food we ordered. The restaurant has no seating so it is strictly take out and my only complaint is that the place could use an update. It is your typical Chinese take out storefront with faded pictures of food on the backlit menu on the wall but it is kind of dreary inside. I gave it 4 stars anyway because I am not eating the atmosphere.

So this is your typical take-out only Chinese food restaurant. I feel as though when giving this a star rating it really should be rated up against other take-out only Chinese food restaurants. With that being said I think the quality of the food here is excellent. There are quite a few choices when it comes to Chinese food in Commack. Having tried them all I feel eastern garden is about the best. I have tried about a dozen or so different dishes and they are all excellent. The vegetables are always fresh and the sauces are always tasty. Their soups are excellent and are never oily. I will agree with another reviewer that the place appears a little dingy but since I don't actually eat there I really could care less. As long as the food is good I'm ok with it.

When you get to this shoping strip location at PRIME TIME/SAT. NITE FEEDING FRENZY with plans to eat at either of the two more "desirable/upscale" choices (we wanted to go Greek @ Taverna Athena...Might have been quicker to book a flight to Greece!!) you'd better have a back up plan!! I bet this place makes a FORTUNE from people like us who wait til the last minute, find ENORMOUS lines at the other two spots (Emilio's Pizza looked good/lines were practically out the door!!), and then decide, "What the heck, let's just go ahead and get Chinese!!" Quick service, reasonable prices, no surprises (thumbs up... YUMMO Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, which is IMPOSSIBLE to find here in Ohioooooo!!). I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but fine takeout... (NO eat-in seating!)

I just ordered a sweet corn soup. Reached home and found it so bad it was inedible. Stale and smelling bad. I am not exaggerating or trying to give these guys a hard time. This is the truth. I was a first time customer and very dissappointed. Do not recommend.

This is a no frills family owned Chinese take out restaurant. We order there often. We find the food is well made from fresh ingredients. We always call ahead. They sometimes are a little backed up and orders can take 45 minutes. They should spend a little money on fixing the place up, the signage and fixtures are old and its beginning to be un-appealing. CASH ONLY!

I walked in tonight to find none of the cooks cooking anything. But since my husband and I were hungry I decided to try them. The food wasn't that good. Still looking for some good Chinese food.
